We all know surgery is tough, but recovery is tougher. Simple things become so nightmarish! So how about if instead of remembering it with a cringe face we just make a little fun of it?

Here are 5 things anyone who has gone through surgery can relate with
-Standing up for the first time really feels like the apocalypse just happened
I don’t know anybody who has gone through surgery and did not feel like they just died and came back. Those first steps are really something unforgettable. Hey, at least we feel for a small amount of time what it would be like to be in the Walking Dead don’t we?
-Death by laughter
Why is it that everybody around you decided to become a comedian the only time you truly are hurt by laughing? Your laugh has become a mixture of giggles and tears.
-Eating is more of a chore than a necessity
How did our favorite time of the day become such a burden? Why is it that when we are in an obligatory diet everybody seems to be eating junk food all day? WHY ARE YOU TORTURING ME?
-The scar makes you feel like a badass
If your scar is very visible like mine you instantly feel a huge amount of pride and self love you won’t get in any other place. It actually reminds you of how strong you can be even in the worst situations.
-Slowly getting your life back together
We hated how much we couldn’t do so when a part of a life is back together it really feels like an achievement. So we celebrate the small accomplishments like not feeling crappy almost all the time or just being able to go to the bathroom alone.
